The Holy Saturday Vigil Mass is the most solemn celebration. It recalls the Resurrection of Jesus from the dead, the triumph of life over death, the victory of love and light over sin and darkness. It marks a new beginning of the journey in the Light of the risen Christ symbolised by the Service of Light and the lightening of the Easter Candle at the starting of the celebration. It teaches us that there is no desperate situation before God, for he alone can make life spring from the tomb, shatterring everything that prevents us from reaching true success. The grace of the Risen Christ empowers to be victorious in everything when we unite ourselves to him.
